The Thornton – Smith building was designed in 1921 by internationally renowned architect, John M. Lyle, for the acclaimed British interior design and furniture company – The Thornton – Smith Company. Having witnessed a century of transformation, the Thornton – Smith building is Toronto’s most vibrant retail and entertainment heritage building on Yonge Street.
